River is hiring a Chief Compliance Officer to lead a growing compliance function for a regulated financial institution built around Bitcoin. The role owns the BSA/AML and OFAC programs, licenses, and regulatory engagement, partnering across Operations, Product, and Engineering to embed compliance into the product lifecycle.

The CCO will steer risk assessment, training, and policy development while preparing for an OCC national charter.

Qualifications

• Deep experience building and running compliance programs at a regulated financial institution.
• Proven ability to manage regulatory exams and audits and build durable relationships with regulators.

Responsabilités

• Lead and grow River's compliance analysts team and set operating standards.
• Own BSA/AML and OFAC programs end-to-end, including policy, monitoring, investigations and reporting.
• Build and maintain compliance policies and run a company-wide training program.
• Own compliance risk assessment and drive cross-functional prioritization.
• Develop independent compliance testing and monitoring functions.
• Maintain state money transmitter licenses and support OCC charter process.
• Manage regulator and bank partner relationships and examinations.
• Sign-off on new products and features to embed compliance by design.
• Build scalable, repeatable compliance systems and processes.
• Advise executive leadership and Board on regulatory strategy and risk.
• Embed compliance with Operations, Product, and Engineering.
