The University of Houston System seeks a Chief Compliance Officer to lead and oversee the institution's compliance programs across its universities. The role directs strategic planning, policy development, and evaluation to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations.
Working with the Office of Legal Affairs and executive management, the CCO will guide training, risk assessment, and incident responses while advancing a culture of lawful and ethical conduct throughout the organization.

The Chief Compliance Officer oversees the University of Houston System's ("UHS") compliance programs, helping ensure the institution is following federal and state regulations. Directs the formulation, execution, and evaluation of strategic compliance planning in support of UHS's vision, mission and values. Provides integrated research, planning, support and leadership in the development of core initiatives for UHS.
MQ: Education:
Requires application of advanced principles, techniques and theory in a professional discipline or a thorough general business management knowledge. Knowledge of this level is typically obtained through a directly job related Master's degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree is required.
Experience: Requires a minimum of 10 years of job-related experience.
Certification/Licensing: Requires professional licensing, certification or registration directly related to the job, as specified on the job posting details.
