Job summary

Pivot Energy is seeking a Chief Commercial Officer to drive product formulation, market strategy, partner engagement, and portfolio commercialization of distributed solar and storage assets.

As a key member of the executive team, the CCO will build upon Pivot’s strengths, including impact-driven development and leadership in policy engagement, while expanding market opportunities with large corporate buyers and utilities.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in renewable energy with commercial strategy or business development.
• Experience building and scaling commercial infrastructure (marketing, sales, client relationships).
• Experience negotiating contracts with large corporate entities, utilities, and ISOs.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercialization strategy for Pivot’s portfolio of distributed solar and storage.
• Define and lead the business strategy for Market Strategy, Corporate Affairs, and Business Development.
• Align commercial initiatives with internal stakeholders through planning cycles.
• Provide accurate market forecasts and identify revenue opportunities and risks.
• Oversee infrastructure for market adoption, including marketing, sales, and client management.
• Represent Pivot externally to energy buyers, utilities, ISOs, and policymakers.
• Establish underwriting parameters for new revenue concepts to withstand lender scrutiny.
• Monitor market trends to keep Pivot’s offerings at the leading edge.
