UHealth/SoLé Mia, Department of Radiology has an exciting opportunity for a full time Chief CAT Scan Technologist.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Oversees the activities, workflow, scheduling, productivity, and quality of staff members. Completes yearly performance appraisals for the staff and handles requests for merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions. Verifies patients’ ID by checking their name and date of birth. Obtains patient history, explains procedures, and addresses patient concerns. Obtains necessary consent from patients before conducting procedure. Maintains and cleans all equipment in accordance with decontamination procedures. Notifies appropriate person of any change(s) in patient status. Assists the radiologist throughout procedures with all the necessary supplies. Follows safety, security, and infection control standards. Prepares automatic injector with proper contrast and adjusts all settings and parameters according to procedure requirements and radiologist preference. Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.
