Position Overview

The University of Miami UHealth at SoLé Mia, opening September 2025, offers high-quality academic medicine to North Miami, Aventura, and surrounding communities. Our team includes physicians and staff across numerous specialties, including the NCI–designated Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.

The Registered Nurse 1 will deliver patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner, utilizing evidence-based standards to ensure quality, safety, and effective communication with patients and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients, document nursing care, and evaluate treatment plans.
  • Report symptoms, changes, and vital signs; modify care plans accordingly.
  • Review and report diagnostic tests; consult with physicians and healthcare professionals.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural needs.
  • Provide psychological support and administer medications safely.
  • Maintain accurate medication and treatment records, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Communicate care plans effectively to patients, families, and team members.
  • Assist in discharge planning and utilize resources for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Operate medical equipment and adhere to institutional policies and procedures.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse License; Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
