Sign-on Bonus: $10,000

Shift: Full-Time, 40 hrs. M-F Days, evenings (availability required); occasional on-call and rotating weekends.

The opening in September 2025 will bring high-quality academic medicine to North Miami, Aventura, and surrounding communities, featuring specialties like Sylvester Cancer Center, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Desai Sethi Urology Institute, and top neurology/neurosurgery programs.

We seek a full-time Special Procedures Tech 2 with a September 2025 start. Join us and be part of the UHealth Difference.

Core Job Functions
  • Verify patient ID, check clinical history, and document information.
  • Assist with patient interviews and document relevant details.
  • Ensure proper informed consent is obtained by the radiologist.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring cooperation and minimizing anxiety.
  • Notify staff of any changes in patient status.
  • Maintain sterile techniques and aseptic procedures.
  • Assist radiologist with supplies during procedures.
  • Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
  • Position patients and obtain quality scout films.
  • Care for patients' physical and psychological needs during procedures.
  • Initiate life support and assist in emergencies.
  • Monitor patient devices and educate patients collaboratively.
  • Follow institutional policies and safeguard assets.

  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent.
  • Certification: Relevant specialty certification.
