Job summary

Avidyne is seeking its most senior hardware authority to own the architecture strategy for every board, chip, and circuit across avionics products. As Chief Hardware Architect you will lead the roadmaps, set design standards (Altium or equivalent), and oversee reviews with executives and regulators.

You will mentor engineers, champion safety-of-flight principles for DO-254, DO-160 and MIL-STD-810, and directly drive bring-up, debugging, and validation of complex hardware designs across product

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of hardware engineering experience, including safety-critical systems.
  • Experience leading enterprise-level design reviews and setting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Define architecture strategy and technology roadmap for processor boards, FPGA hardware, and mixed-signal circuits.
  • Set PCB design, schematic capture, and layout standards (Altium or equivalent).
  • Lead architecture reviews and advise executives on technology strategy and buy/build decisions.
  • Provide senior technical oversight during board bring-up, debugging, and validation.
  • Mentor engineers and champion safety-of-flight design principles for DO-254, DO-160, MIL-STD-810.
