Job summary

Avidyne Corporation seeks a Senior Hardware Architect to own architecture strategy, roadmaps, and design standards for processor boards, FPGA hardware, and mixed-signal circuits across avionics products.

You will lead reviews, advise executives on technology, and provide oversight during board bring-up and validation, championing safety-of-flight principles and DO-254/D0-160 and MIL-STD-810 compliance from day one.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorts degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive hardware engineering experience in safety-critical systems.
  • Expertise in Altium Designer or equivalent for schematic/layout.
  • Strong FPGA hardware, processor boards and mixed-signal architecture knowledge.
  • Experience leading board bring-up, debugging, validation of complex hardware.
  • Proven enterprise-level leadership and decision-making on high-stakes technical calls.

Responsibilities

  • Define architecture strategy and technology roadmap for hardware products.
  • Set PCB design, schematic capture, and layout standards across the org.
  • Lead architecture reviews and advise executives on technology strategy.
  • Provide senior technical oversight during board bring-up, debugging, validation.
  • Lead and mentor electrical engineers; enforce safety-of-flight design principles.
  • Ensure DO-254, DO-160, MIL-STD-810 compliance from day one.
