Job summary

Citigroup Inc. seeks a Head of AI Solutions to architect a unified AI strategy, build a world-class engineering team, and deliver production-grade AI at scale across Citi's COO Technology portfolio.

You will own the AI strategy for a $200M+ technology portfolio spanning KYC, fraud detection, wholesale lending operations, reconcilations, payroll, and international operations, delivering scalable AI in a regulated banking environment.

Qualifications

• Generative AI & LLM engineering: deep, hands-on expertise in LLMs, model selection, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and evaluation.
• Agentic systems design: multi-agent architectures, orchestration, tool-use patterns, human-in-the-loop workflows, and safety at scale.
• AI/ML engineering & MLOps: full lifecycle ownership, training pipelines, deployment, monitoring, drift detection, observability, and lifecycle tools.
• Cloud AI platforms: deployment on AWS, GCP, Azure with managed services and scalable inference.
• Programming & frameworks: strong Python; PyTorch or TensorFlow; LangChain or equivalents.
• Enterprise AI architecture: data security, explainability, audit logging, access controls, integration with legacy systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and own multi-year AI strategy for COO Technology portfolio with milestone-driven roadmap.
• Develop architecture blueprints for Generative AI and agentic workflows across domains.
• Build shared AI platform: reusable models, tooling, guardrails, evaluation frameworks, accelerators.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of AI solutions in high-regulation environments from architecture to production.
• Oversee governance forums and ensure alignment with risk management and regulatory requirements.
