Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in New York seeks a senior leader to head the AI-first PDLC transformation. You will re-architect how Citi builds products, making AI the default from requirements to deployment, and lead an engineering productivity transformation across the firm.

The role is a Managing Director level mandate to drive platform-wide changes, measure outcomes, and align with Finance leadership. Strong regulatory awareness is essential.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience.
• Senior developer-platform leadership with scale experience.
• Deep expertise in agentic coding tools and the AI-first SDLC.
• Proven change agent with credibility and outcomes.
• Strong product instinct with telemetry and outcomes accountability.
• Security and architectural standardization awareness in large orgs.
• Cross-functional influence in matrixed environments.
• Understanding of risk, controls, and regulatory expectations for AI.
• Excellent communication with engineers, stakeholders, and regulators.
• Finance industry fluency preferred; other regulated sectors acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Re-architect Citi's end-to-end PDLC so AI is the default across lifecycle.
• Define reference workflows, standards, and patterns for AI-first product development.
• Evolve the PDLC as AI tooling and practices mature.
• Own agentic product development platform and tooling, including reviews.
• Define build-vs-buy-vs-partner strategy for developer AI tooling.
• Establish productivity metrics, telemetry, and feedback loops for leadership.
