Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking a Principal Architect, AI to design and govern the company's centralized AI Hub platform. You will enable domains to securely develop, deploy, and operate AI-powered applications on a shared enterprise foundation.

You will partner with Architecture, Security, Data, and Product teams to accelerate responsible, scalable AI adoption while embedding security-by-design and governance across the stack.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Enterprise Architecture, Software/Platform or Distributed Systems.
• 3+ years designing AI/ML or Agentic AI platforms.
• 3+ years building AI/ML data access layers, platform services, POCs.
• 5+ years in cloud-native architectures, APIs, microservices, event-driven systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead Enterprise AI Hub Platform architecture across domains.
• Define reference architectures for Generative AI, Agentic AI, MCP, RAG, and Multi-Agent solutions.
• Govern core platform services: Registries, Gateways, and Observability.
• Oversee Data Access Layer design for secure data sources and governance.
• Lead POC efforts, transition to production-ready capabilities, and drive MLOps/LMMOps.
• Mentor teams and align AI strategy with business objectives.
