Job summary

LPL Financial is hiring a Principal Architect, AI to design, build, and govern the centralized AI Hub platform. You will enable domains to securely develop, deploy, and operate AI-powered applications on a shared enterprise foundation.

You will partner with Architecture, AI Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, Data, and Product teams to drive responsible, scalable AI adoption while ensuring compliance and observability across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Software Engineering, Platform Architecture, or Distributed Systems.
• 3+ years of experience designing and implementing AI platforms.
• 3+ years architecting AI/ML systems and data access layers with platform services, integrations, and POCs.
• 5+ years of cloud-native architectures, APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and scalable distributed apps.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead the Enterprise AI Hub Platform across business domains.
• Define reference architectures for Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG, MCP, and Multi-Agent solutions.
• Design and govern core services: Registries, LLM Gateway, AI Access Layer, Gateways, and Compliance Services.
• Lead AI Platform Engineering, MLOps, and LLMOps onboarding, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Embed security-by-design, RBAC, data governance, privacy, and auditability.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to align AI strategy with business goals.
• Mentor architects, engineers, and AI teams on enterprise AI architecture.
