Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking a highly technical AI engineering leader to design, build, and deploy next-generation AI solutions for our advisors and business partners. This role blends hands-on development with architectural influence, mentoring, and cross‑functional collaboration to scale responsible AI across the enterprise.

You will own end‑to‑end AI lifecycle, build cloud‑native solutions on AWS Bedrock, and partner with product, data, and security teams to deliver measurable value while

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of software engineering or ML development experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on programming in Python with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, LangChain or similar.
• Experience designing, deploying Generative AI, LLM-based apps, NLP, RAG architectures, AI agents, model serving.
• Cloud experience with AWS/Azure/GCP deploying scalable AI workloads and cloud-native apps.
• Experience in regulated industries with governance, security, risk and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI/ML solutions.
• Architect AI-powered applications using LLMs, generative AI, and RAG architectures.
• Lead end-to-end software lifecycle for AI solutions, including design, testing, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Partner with multiple teams to identify AI use cases and translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Develop and deliver AI-enabled products and platforms that improve advisor productivity.
• Build and maintain cloud-native AI solutions on AWS.
• Design and implement APIs, microservices, and platform services for reusable AI capabilities.
• Establish engineering best practices for AI development, governance, and security.
• Collaborate to ensure AI solutions are secure, compliant, and aligned with standards.
• Evaluate emerging AI tech and provide opportunities for adoption.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance.
