LPL Financial is seeking a highly technical and hands-on AI engineering leader to design, build, and deploy next-generation AI solutions for our advisors and business partners. This role emphasizes production-grade AI/ML capabilities and partnership with product, data, and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate blends deep AI/ML expertise with architectural influence, mentoring, and a path toward leading a small AI engineering team, while advancing enterprise AI platform strategy and secure,

Qualifications

8+ years of software/AI engineering in enterprise settings and production AI deployments.
Hands-on Python programming with modern AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
Experience designing Generative AI, LLM-based apps, NLP, RAG, and model serving.
Cloud engineering experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and scalable AI workloads.
Experience in regulated financial services with governance, security and compliance.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI/ML solutions for advisors and partners.
Architect AI-powered applications using LLMs, generative AI, RAG, and agentic workflows.
Lead end-to-end lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, optimization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify high-value AI use cases.
Develop and deliver AI-enabled products that improve productivity and client experience.
Build and maintain cloud-native AI solutions on AWS, including Bedrock-related tech.
Define APIs, microservices, and platform services for reusable AI capabilities.
Establish engineering best practices for AI development, governance, and security.
