Job summary

Harris Computer in Arkansas is seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive AI-enabled product strategy across our public safety and justice software portfolio.

You will own the AI delivery maturity, set roadmaps, govern AI-generated code, and lead managers and directors to deliver measurable business value while maintaining security and regulatory compliance. This role requires strong stakeholder management and a track record of translating AI capability into customer value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in software development with 3+ years leading engineering orgs at director level.
• Proven experience moving teams from AI assistance to agentic delivery with governance.
• Experience delivering enterprise software to public sector or regulated markets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the development managers and directors across the portfolio companies, setting clear goals and performance expectations.
• Recruit and retain engineering talent, and build succession depth in every key technical role.
• Set the expectation that every engineer works with AI tools as a normal part of the job, and give them the training, access, and time to get there.
• Structure the organization for the work ahead, including the balance between onshore, offshore, and contract capacity.
• Promote transparency and collaboration by making priorities, progress, and decisions visible across the organization.
