Sheridan College is seeking a visionary Vice President of Academic Affairs to serve as Chief Academic Officer, guiding academic programs and instructional support while championing student success and teaching excellence.

The VPAA shapes the college’s academic vision, leads accreditation readiness, and partners with faculty and administrators to strengthen instruction, workforce alignment, and pathways to transfer and completion.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Five years of progressively responsible leadership/administrative experience in higher education.
• Minimum two years of full-time teaching experience.
• Experience developing, monitoring, and administering budgets.
• Experience managing employees and evaluating performance.
• Experience facilitating teaching and learning with a focus on excellence.
• Ability to use data and qualitative evidence to inform decisions.
• Experience aligning scheduling and program development with student services.
• Commitment to serving diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for academic programs and instructional support services.
• Advance student success through data-informed strategies and pathways.
• Build partnerships for workforce alignment, dual/concurrent enrollment, and transfer opportunities.
• Lead enrollment planning and support implementation of the college's strategic plan.
• Oversee resources, budgets, curriculum, class schedules, and assessment.
• Assist in recruiting, developing, supervising, and evaluating academic personnel.
• Lead accreditation efforts and alignment with HLC standards.
