Job summary

NIACC seeks a visionary Vice President of Academic Affairs to lead all faculty and academic services, including library and student learning support. You will align programs with NIACC’s mission, oversee accreditation, and drive student success through strategic planning and collaboration with deans and campus committees.

The VPAA will report to the President, participate in Cabinet, and guide the college’s transformation toward higher performance and inclusive excellence.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated academic leadership experience at the dean level or equivalent.
• Experience developing and implementing instructional programs (transfer and career/technical).
• Strong communication skills to engage internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and direction for Academic Affairs in alignment with NIACC’s mission and priorities.
• Lead academic planning and development of new programs and partnerships.
• Develop policies and processes to support operations and student success.
• Mentor and develop academic leaders; promote collaboration and shared governance.
• Oversee accreditation, assessment, and compliance to maintain institutional quality.
