Job summary

The Chick-fil-A Operations Manager at University of Nebraska-Lincoln is an integral member of the leadership team, assisting the General Manager in the overall supervision and operation of the restaurant. You will help drive a safe, welcoming atmosphere and provide high-quality service to guests and staff.

Responsibilities include hiring/training support, daily duties, supply ordering, and maintenance scheduling while ensuring franchise standards. Competitive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or equivalent education/experience in food-related, business, or hotel/restaurant management field plus four years of food service management experience.
• Knowledge of cost controls, inventory controls and food safety/sanitation programs necessary.
• Must supervise large quantity food production and use PC tools (word processing, spreadsheets, email, internet).
• Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain by passing the Safety and Sanitation test required.

The Operations Manager is an integral member of the leadership team by assisting the General Manager in the overall supervision and operation of the restaurant.

As the Chick-fil-A Operations Manager you will:

• Help drive an operation that provides a safe and inviting atmosphere for all guests, staff, and student workers.
• Provides high-quality customer service to all guests.
• Ensure orders are accurate and meet all University Dining and franchise standards.
• Create an environment that promotes diversity and growth for student workers, staff, and guests.
• Assist in the facilitation of the hiring and training process.
• Complete supply ordering, administrate maintenance schedules, and are able to assist in daily duties and tasks.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Associate’s or equivalent education/experience in food-related, business, or hotel/restaurant management field plus four years of food service management experience in a high-volume commercial or non-commercial dining service operation required. Knowledge of cost controls, inventory controls and food safety/sanitation programs necessary. Must have ability to supervise large quantity food production. Knowledge of personal computers, word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and internet necessary. Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain by passing the Safety and Sanitation test required.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience relevant food/dietetic/hospitality or business field preferred. Management experience in a non-commercial dining service operation desirable.
