Chick-fil-A East Doral DTO is seeking a Back-of-House Shift Leader who embodies our values, embraces Chick-fil-A culture, and serves with a servant’s heart. You will drive excellence in food quality and kitchen operations, take initiative, and maintain urgency on every shift.

Responsibilities include supporting senior leadership, ensuring food safety and quality, coaching the kitchen team, and collaborating with Front-of-House leaders to ensure smooth service flow.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen leadership or supervisory roles preferred.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Lead and oversee Back of House operations during assigned shifts
• Ensure food quality, accuracy, speed, and presentation meet Chick-fil-A standards
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation procedures
• Coach, train, and develop kitchen team members in real time
• Manage shift execution including station placement, breaks, and production flow
• Monitor product levels and communicate needs proactively
• Partner closely with Front of House leaders to ensure smooth handoff and service flow
• Troubleshoot operational challenges quickly and effectively
• Uphold Chick-fil-A values and culture on every shift

They have a passion for excellence in food quality and kitchen operations, take initiative, and work with a strong sense of urgency at all times.

Our Back-of-House Shift Leaders are responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food safety and quality standards, and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence. A Back-of-House Shift Leader’s two main areas of focus are executing kitchen operations efficiently and coaching/developing Back-of-House Team Members. They lead by example and set the standard for speed, accuracy, cleanliness, and teamwork in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Previous kitchen or leadership experience preferred
• Strong understanding of food safety and operational procedures, with a keen sense of urgency and attention to detail.
• Dependable, coachable, and solution-oriented
• Clear communicator with a team-first mindset
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to multi-task and prioritize effectively
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Willing and able to work a flexible schedule
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
