Kraft Kennedy seeks a Desktop Support Specialist for a hybrid role in the Chicago area. You will provide remote and on-site support to national clients, resolve a broad range of IT issues, and collaborate with senior staff in a dynamic environment.

The role emphasizes customer service, strong problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting across Windows Server, Exchange, virtualization, and storage. BS in IT or 3+ years experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Highly organized with high accuracy and follow-up.
• Strong problem solving and technical troubleshooting.
• Experience with Windows Server and Exchange preferred.
• Experience with server/network administration and software deployment.
• Some experience with Windows desktops; virtualization/storage preferred.
• MCSE or related certifications strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote support to our geographically diverse nationwide clients using industry standard remote connections, internal ticketing system, monitoring consoles and more
• Provide on-site assistance to clients 2-3 days per week as needed
• Assist both client end users and IT staff with a broad range of computer application problems, server issues, virtualization, SAN, networking and security issues
• Escalate issues and interact with third-party vendors and team members to resolve complex client issues
• Initiate and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on complex client issues for one-time resolution
• Contribute to internal projects to facilitate growth of the Support Practice Group
• Provide regional on-site client support, as necessary
