Job summary

Volt is immediately hiring Cherry Pickers & Turret Operators in Fontana, CA. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire role with a 4x10 schedule starting November. Schedules: various shifts.

You will operate Cherry Picker and Turret forklifts, receive materials, replenish inventory via WMS, and pick & pack orders using an RF scanner. Load outbound freight and navigate busy lanes safely.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of relevant forklift experience.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and reach during shift.
• Must pass PIT test on first day.
• Safety shoes required.
• Background and drug screen required (7-year background).

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials and unload materials from trailers, trucks, and freight.
• Replenish Inventory: Move, restock, and distribute materials and product inventory across facility storage areas per WMS.
• Pick & Pack Orders with an RF scanner, handle order induction, build boxes, and secure outgoing packages using void fill and box tapers.
• Load Outbound Freight: Sort, load lines, and manually load trailers.
• Safely navigate equipment in busy warehouse lanes, using horns and signals to alert pedestrians.

VOLT is immediately hiring Cherry Pickers & Turret Operators in Fontana, CA.

As a Cherry Pickers & Turret Operators, you will:

• Must have 1 relevant year of experience in operating the following forklifts: Cherry Picker Turret
• Receive incoming materials and manually unload materials from trailers, trucks, and freight. (Up to 50lbs - heavy lifting)
• Replenish Inventory: Move, restock, and distribute materials and product inventory across facility storage areas as dictated by the warehouse management system (WMS).
• Pick & Pack Orders with an RF SCANNER, handle order induction, pick items, build boxes, and secure outgoing packages using void fill and box tapers.
• Load Outbound Freight: Sorting, load lines, and manually load trailers for delivery.
• Safely navigate equipment in busy, high racked warehouse lanes, utilizing horns and signals to alert pedestrian traffic and other equipment operators.

This is a full-time, temp to hire opportunity!

All schedules will be converted to a 4x10 schedule this November! (6:00am-4:30pm & 6:00pm-4:30am)

Current Schedules:

• Schedule A: Tuesday - Saturday 6:00am - 2:30pm
• Schedule B: Tuesday - Saturday 6:00pm - 2:30am
• Schedule C: Sunday - Thursday 6:00am - 2:30pm
• Schedule D: Sunday - Thursday 6:00pm - 2:30am
• Schedule E: Thursday - Monday 6:00am - 2:30pm
• Schedule F: Thursday - Monday 6:00pm - 2:30am

The ideal candidate will have:

• Must be able to pass a 7-year background and drug screen.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs.
• Must pass (PIT) Test on first day of assignment.
• Safety Composite Shoes Required
• Pay Rate: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour - Depending on shift and work schedule selected
• *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
