Intermountain Health LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacist in dispensing and compounding medications. This chemo/hazardous compounding shift runs from Wednesday 6am–430pm, with 8 shifts in a row followed by 6 days off.

Responsibilities include handling patient information, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining inventories, while providing excellent customer service to care teams.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding pharmacy practice.
• Lapse or failure to meet requirements may lead to disciplinary action.

Responsabilités

• Assist with all phases of pharmacy services under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Answer phones and provide customer service.
• Collect patient information and maintain records as required by regulation and policy.
• Prepare medication orders for dispensing and perform compounding per protocol.
• Maintain controlled substances inventories and 340B/charging management.
• Package and label medications to minimize waste and ensure accuracy.
• Promote pharmacy cleanliness and safety; engage in quality initiatives.
• Communicate with caregivers and escalate urgent issues to the pharmacist.
