Job summary

Intermountain Health Alta View Hospital in Sandy, Utah, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in safe, efficient pharmaceutical care. You will support central operations, inventory, and chemotherapy delivery while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding pharmacy practice and drug distribution.
• Disciplinary action possible for lapses or failure to meet requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assists with all phases of pharmacy services under supervision.
• Answers phones and provides excellent customer service.
• Collects clinical and patient information and maintains records as required.
• Uses pharmacy technology to prepare orders and compounds medications as appropriate.
