Job summary

Messino Cancer Centers in Asheville, NC seeks a PRN Pharmacy Technician for part-time shifts. You will prepare and mix chemotherapy medications under licensed supervision, operate the Nucleus system, and coordinate with nursing staff to review next-day orders.

You will manage inventory, maintain regulatory records, assist in training, and support multiple locations with overtime as needed. A valid state license and PTCB certification or registration are required; occasional travel to meetings

Qualifications

Education: PTCB Certification or Registered as Pharmacy Technician per state regulations.

Responsibilities

Prepare and mix chemotherapy drugs and solutions under licensed supervision.
Maintain proficiency with the Nucleus medication dispensing system and ensure accurate dispensing and par-level management.
Review next-day orders with nursing staff to anticipate special medication needs.
Order, stock, and track medical supplies and medications, ensuring inventory levels and minimal waste.
Maintain records for compassionate drug programs, clinical trials, biosafety, and related processes; ensure compliance with laws and policies.
Assist in training new staff on chemotherapy preparation and Nucleus workflows.
Support operations across locations and participate in mandatory safety/OSHA training.
