Oncology and Hematology Consultants seeks a part-time Pharmacy Technician in Brunswick, GA. You will prepare and mix chemotherapy drugs under supervision, manage inventory, and coordinate with nursing and pharmacy staff to ensure patient safety and compliance. Proficiency with the Nucleus system is essential.

Candidates should have at least three years in healthcare, PTCB certification or registration, and a valid driver's license to travel to clinics as needed.

Qualifications

  • PTCB Certification or Registered Pharmacy Technician required.
  • Minimum of three years’ healthcare experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to educational and research meetings and training.
  • Valid State Driver's License for travel to clinics.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and mix chemotherapy drugs under supervision and in compliance with state regulations.
  • Maintain proficiency with the Nucleus medication dispensing system and ensure accurate dispensing.
  • Review next-day orders with nursing staff to anticipate medication needs.
  • Order, stock, and track medications and supplies to minimize waste.
  • Maintain records for compassionate drug programs, clinical trials, and waste disposal.
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, supervisors, and pharmaceutical reps as needed.
