Job summary

Lansing Community College is seeking a Part-Time Academic Professional - Tutor - Chemistry to provide learning support and tutoring for chemistry courses, helping students achieve outcomes and success.

On-campus availability is required with potential evening and weekend shifts; a Bachelor’s in Chemistry or related field is required and the role follows the PT salary schedule with pay based on the PT salary schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
• Experience in tutoring or teaching roles.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Available to work on campus 12–30 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring and mentoring to students to support learning outcomes.
• Participate in departmental training, tutor training, and peer reviews.
• Work on-campus with potential evening/weekend shifts and hybrid scheduling as needed.
