Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in chemistry or equivalent.
• High school diploma with physics, chemistry and algebra coursework; required: General, Qualitative and Quantitative chemistry.
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment.
• Familiar with principles and procedures of laboratory analytics.
• Good physical coordination for test procedures.
• Must progress through prescribed training and obtain company vehicle license.

Responsibilities

• Operate water treatment and sampling procedures.
• Conduct chemistry and radiochemistry analyses and maintain logs.
• Calibrate instruments and perform QC checks.
• Conduct radiological surveys and support sampling analyses.
• Prepare records and reports of work performed.
• Train coworkers and supervise as needed.
• Adhere to ALARA and safety rules.
• Report abnormal conditions and suggest improvements.
