Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company in Oak Harbor, Ohio seeks a highly skilled engineer to plan and perform complex technical duties with minimal supervision. This role may direct or be assisted by Engineers, Nuclear Technologists, or Technicians on project phases.

You will conduct advanced evaluations, root cause analyses, and prepare design changes not requiring PE registration, along with engineering and technical reports. The position emphasizes nuclear safety and team leadership on projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of science degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology or:
• Bachelor's degree + 9 years related work experience or:
• Associate degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field + 11 years related work experience or:
• Certified educational experience equivalent to an Associate's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field + 11 years related work

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced technical or engineering evaluations.
• Perform root cause analyses.
• Independently assess and resolve potential conditions adverse to quality.
• Prepare complex design changes not requiring Professional Engineers Registration.
• Prepare engineering and technical reports.
• Prepare involved 10CFR50.59 screens and evaluations.
• Develop and conduct training.
• Perform tasks in accordance with established expectations for nuclear safety and personnel safety.
• Serves a lead role on projects, phases of projects, teams, processes, or programs
