Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to perform STAT and routine complex laboratory testing on clinical specimens. You will report results promptly and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to ensure accurate testing and interpretation.

The role requires maintaining quality and coordinating with lab teams. Responsibilities include handling routine and complex assays, adhering to safety protocols, and supporting operational testing

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Completion of an accredited clinical laboratory training program.
• Florida Clinical Technologist license in relevant areas (chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology, immunohematology or histocompatibility).
• ASCP certification preferred (preferred).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform STAT and routine moderate to highly complex tests on specimens.
• Report accurate patient results in a timely manner.
• Interact with physicians, nurses and other health professionals to coordinate testing and interpret results.
• Participate in operational activities to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.
