Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Support Services Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of the non-technical staff within the Department Name department, with a Monday-Friday 5:30am-2:00pm schedule. You will assist with preparation of laboratory specimens, supervise and mentor staff, and ensure shifts are properly staffed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and 3+ years in a lab or healthcare environment; preferred associates degree and some supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 or more years of experience in a laboratory, healthcare, manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• 6 months or more of experience in a clinical laboratory.
• 6 months or more supervising or leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day to day operations of the non-technical staff for the Department Name department
• Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Directly supervise, train, and mentor non-technical personnel of the department
• Monitor daily workflow in the lab and schedule adequate coverage
• Responsible for ensuring all shifts in the department are properly staffed
• Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary
• Engage in continuous process and service level improvements
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracyPrepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documents
• Meet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their development
• Responsible for administering and managing policies and procedures
