Job summary

SGS North America Inc. is seeking an Analyst II, Chemistry Laboratory to evaluate chemical and physical properties for consumer product testing. This full-time, hourly role offers $28.00-$31.00 per hour and supports development in analytical methods and instrument operation.

Under supervision, you will perform routine to moderate analyses, prepare reports, maintain instruments, and collaborate with teams across Marketing, Sales, and Client Services as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or similar discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in wet chemistry techniques.
• Master's degree with research lab experience in wet chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates chemical and physical properties of substances for consumer product testing.
• Conducts routine to moderately complex sample analysis, prep, extraction, and digestion.
• Prepares and files reports on client tests, calibration, validation, and projects.
• Maintains laboratory instruments, performs calibration and troubleshooting.
• Develops and validates analytical methods and SOPs for method development and transfer.
• Provides technical training and support to Analysts in data analysis.
• Manages multiple projects and maintains Laboratory Notebook.
