Job summary

SGS in Dayton, NJ, is seeking a Lab Analyst to join the General Chemistry team. The role entails preparing and analyzing samples with accuracy per SGS SOPs, and working alone or with a team to meet daily targets while maintaining safe laboratory practices.

The ideal candidate holds an associate or bachelor degree in chemistry or a related field, with 0–2 years (or 3 years) of relevant experience, advanced English, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in Chemistry or related field with 0–2 years of Analytical Chemistry experience; or 3 years of relevant experience.
• English proficiency is required.
• Basic reasoning, math, and computer skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze samples according to SGS SOPs using department instruments.
• Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of lab equipment.
• Assist with validation and LOQ studies.
• Assist with investigation and responses to client inquiries and CAPs.
• Input and maintain technical information to support lab operations.
• Maintain Laboratory Notebook and adhere to internal standards.
