Job summary

SGS, Wilmington, NC, is seeking an experienced Lab Analyst II to join our laboratory team. The role involves preparing and analyzing samples with precision according to SGS SOPs, working independently or in teams to meet daily production targets, and ensuring hold and turnaround times are met.

Qualifications

Advanced English language skills required.
Basic mathematical and reasoning skills required.
Basic computer skills required.
Ability to lift/carry/push and/or pull upwards of 25 lbs on a frequent basis.

Responsibilities

Performs analyses on routine and moderately complex samples according to SGS SOPs.
Performs instrument operation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments/equipment.
Assist with development/validation of analytical methods and SOPs.
Provide technical training and support to Analysts in data analysis.
Involves investigation and responses to client inquiries and CARs.
Support testing, reporting or technical inquiries to Marketing, Sales, Customer Service and clients.
Input and maintain technical information to support lab operations.
Manage multiple projects as assigned.
Maintain Laboratory Notebook and adhere to internal standards and procedures.
