Advocate Health’s Carolinas Medical Center - Core Lab: Chemistry is seeking an MLS/MT leader for the 3rd shift to supervise night operations and ensure accurate testing and regulatory compliance.

The role requires Bachelor’s in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology, ASCP certification, and typically 3 years of lab experience. You will coordinate with pathologists and leadership to maintain high-quality patient care and efficient lab services.

Qualifications

• Requires MLS certification (ASCP BOC) or MT certification per ASCP.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology or equivalent.
• Typically requires 3 years of experience in technical laboratory services and operations.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees efficient operations including acting as a liaison to lab leadership.
• Ensures competency in test systems and processes; serves as SME.
• Identifies and implements performance improvement processes to enhance patient satisfaction and staff engagement.
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements and inspection readiness.
• Develops and maintains communication; collaborates with leadership to provide excellent customer service.
• Manages staffing, performance, and hiring decisions to maintain quality operations.
