Job summary

Cognizant seeks a Scientific Informatics Lead to drive chemistry-focused ELN and scientific data management across discovery, medicinal, synthetic and process chemistry. This role partners with scientists, informatics specialists and vendors to translate workflows into scalable platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong domain expertise in medicinal, synthetic, process chemistry or discovery research.
• Hands-on experience with Dotmatics Chemistry/ELN or comparable platforms.
• Experience gathering requirements, configuring workflows and supporting deployments.
• Proven ability to lead scientific informatics platforms beyond basic end-user support.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements discovery for chemistry experiments, reactions and samples.
• Translate workflows into user stories, specifications and data mappings.
• Provide senior oversight for ELN configuration, testing and deployment readiness.
• Design workflows for experiment capture, reaction management and inventory tracking.
• Guide integrations with compound registration systems, inventory platforms and analytical applications.
• Support data governance, metadata management and data quality initiatives.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across chemists, informatics and validation teams.
• Develop SOPs, training materials and release notes.
• Support platform modernization and continuous improvement.
