Job summary

Prolific is seeking Chemistry Experts and Chemical Engineers to join its Expert Network to help train and evaluate AI models using real-world chemical expertise. If successful, you’ll be invited to join Prolific as a participant, where you’ll get paid to train and evaluate powerful AI models.

You’ll review AI chemistry outputs, validate reactions, and annotate molecular data, with flexible hours and the ability to work from home. Researchers paying up to $60 per hour is possible.

Qualifications

• Education in Chemistry or related Physical Science at BS/MS/PhD level.
• Experience in lab research, industrial chemical processing, pharma R&D, or academia.
• Deep knowledge of organic, inorganic, analytical, or physical chemistry and reaction mechanisms.
• Safety protocols: SDS, GHS, EPA/REACH/FDA.
• Ability to identify errors in IUPAC nomenclature, stoichiometry, geometry, and thermodynamics.
• Strong communication to explain complex reactions clearly.
• PayPal account to receive payment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-Generated Chemistry: review model responses for accuracy and logic.
• Fact-Check Reactions & Formulas: validate reactions, balancing, and feasible routes.
• Audit Technical Documentation: review lab protocols, safety summaries, and spectra.
• Annotate Molecular Data: correct errors in SMILES and molecular representations.
• Safety Monitoring: avoid instructions for hazardous substances.
