Job summary

Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, TX seeks a Non-Tenure Track Adjunct Instructor (Chemistry) to teach courses on a per-course basis. This is a pool for potential openings, part-time (<50% effort), with responsibilities limited to assigned courses.

Selected applicants may teach up to 7 SCH per semester; expected to maintain records, post grades, submit attendance, mentor students, and hold office hours. A master's or doctorate in chemistry is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to plan, organize, and teach undergraduate/graduate courses.
• Experience with recording student grades and attendance.
• Familiarity with online learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 7 undergraduate/graduate SCH per semester.
• Maintain and manage student records.
• Post grades (assignments, mid-term & final).
• Submit attendance reporting.
• Mentor and assist students.
• Post and maintain office hours for at least 3 hours/week.
• Attend orientation/meetings as required by department.
• Other duties as assigned by department head.
