Job summary

Prairie View A&M University is seeking an Adjunct Instructor in Physics to teach undergraduate physics courses for the Fall 2026 semester. The position is part-time and non-tenure track within the Physics Department.

The successful candidate will teach, maintain class records, post grades, and keep regular office hours while collaborating with department staff. A Master's in Physics and 1–2 years of applied experience are required; PhD and 3+ years teaching are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physics or related field.
• 1–2 years' experience in applied field.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Ph.D. degree in Physics (preferred).
• 3+ years’ experience teaching college level courses (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in Physics for Fall 2026.
• Keep records, post grades (mid-term & final), submit attendance.
• Post and maintain regular office hours.
• Other duties as assigned by department head.
