Job summary

Arconic seeks a Chemist to provide technical support and leadership for Chemical Lab operations, overseeing production process monitoring and quality issue resolution. You will develop and validate testing methods to ensure customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements are met.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration to drive process improvements, support product quality, and promote operational excellence within the Chemistry Lab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship not available.
• This position is subject to ITAR requirements; U.S. person status required.

Responsibilities

• Support testing of samples from production according to ASTM methods and customer specs.
• Maintain and re-standardize laboratory reagents.
• Adhere to Chemical Safety procedures and QA documentation.
• Contribute to ISO 17025, NADCAP MTL, AS9100 and IATF 16949 compliance and continuous improvement.
• Review results, maintain SPC processes, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment: calibration, sample prep, routine maintenance.
