Job summary

Arconic is seeking a senior metallurgical engineer to lead product and process improvements across multiple sites. You will drive yield and capacity gains, reduce costs, and address customer claims with a strong technical foundation in metallurgy.

The role requires DOE applications, data analysis, and frontline problem solving on the shop floor, with up to 25% travel and compliance with export controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering, metallurgy, or materials science from an accredited institution.
• 5 or more years in a metals manufacturing environment in a technical or project management role.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
• Access to controlled technology; export control compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead product and process continuous improvement to improve yield, capacity, reduce cost, and reduce customer product claims.
• Provide metallurgical technical support via problem solving and training at multiple sites.
• Drive improvements with operations on the manufacturing shop floor; implement gains.
• Facilitate DOE development, data collection/analysis, Gemba Walks, and Kaizens.
• Capture and retain gains and institutional knowledge; support EHS initiatives.
