Job summary

Arxada in Conley, GA is seeking a Lead Chemist to join the Quality Control team, ensuring the quality of raw materials, in-process batches and finished products. This onsite role combines hands-on analytical testing with quality leadership, investigations, and mentoring colleagues.

You will collaborate with manufacturing and quality partners to resolve issues, strengthen laboratory processes and drive reliable quality performance in a GMP environment.

Qualifications

• Experience performing analytical testing in a QC laboratory or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of analytical methods, laboratory practices, quality documentation and investigation techniques.
• Experience investigating quality issues and applying root cause analysis and corrective action principles.
• Ability to perform a broad range of laboratory tests and use analytical techniques beyond established procedures when needed.
• Experience training or mentoring laboratory colleagues and providing technical or procedural guidance.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing of raw materials, in-process batches and finished products using approved methods and support investigations.
• Analyze and adjust plant batches, investigate problem batches, and lead root cause investigations for quality incidents.
• Maintain and improve site quality programs by monitoring quality performance and corrective actions.
• Develop, update and review Quality Control procedures and analytical methods, and support ISO 9001 activities.
• Oversee quality transactions and resolve ERP errors, issue Certificates of Analysis, and maintain documentation.
• Train and mentor new laboratory technicians and oversee the QC training program.
