Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Chemist for a prominent client in Darien, CT. The role involves preparing hair color laboratory batches, assessing product stability, and reporting results. You will work with batching equipment, pH meters, viscometers, and may liaise with raw material suppliers.

CGMP practices apply and physical handling of materials is required. Qualified candidates hold a BS/MS in Chemistry or related field with 2–4 years of experience, and possess strong problem-solving,

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field plus 2-4 years of experience.
• Prior experience in Hair Color/Care or Consumer Products formulation desired.
• Strong problem-solving skills and positive attitude.
• Strong communication and analytical skills. Quick learner.
• Strong data management (excel etc.)

Responsibilities

• Make hair color laboratory batches, conduct product stability, evaluate color performance and record and report results.
• Experience with lab equipment such as batching equipment, pH meters, viscometer, and interaction with raw material suppliers a plus.
• Lift bulk materials, fill consumer laboratory samples, and prepare hair tresses with application of consumer products and CGMP practices.
• Assist in the maintenance of laboratory raw materials, glassware, supplies, and waste.
• Communicate formulation stability and efficacy results.

Job description

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Chemist for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Darien, CT. Details for the position are as follows.

• Pay: $35-40/hr.
• 9-month assignment with possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget.

Responsibilities:

• Position will include as tasks to successfully make hair color laboratory batches, conducting product stability, evaluate color performance, and record and report results.
• Experience with lab equipment such as batching equipment, pH meters, viscometer, and Microsoft applications, and interaction with raw material suppliers a plus.
• Ability to lift bulk materials, fill consumer laboratory samples, and prepare hair tresses with application of consumer products and CGMP practices required.
• Assist in the maintenance of laboratory raw materials, glassware, supplies, and waste.
• Communicate formulation stability and efficacy results.
