Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC is seeking a Chemist for a 10-month assignment in Darien, CT. The role pays $39.00–$40.00 per hour and requires a BS/MS in Chemistry or a related field with 0–4 years of experience, or relevant background in hair color/care or consumer products formulation.

Responsibilities include making lab batches, performing product stability tests, evaluating color performance, and recording results.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field plus 0-4 years of experience (or)
• Prior experience in Hair Color/Care or Consumer Products formulation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and positive attitude.
• Strong communication and analytical skills. Quick learner.
• Strong data management (excel etc.)

Responsibilities

• Make hair color laboratory batches and conduct product stability testing.
• Evaluate color performance and report results.
• Operate lab equipment (batching equipment, pH meters, viscometer) and liaise with raw material suppliers.
• Assist in maintaining laboratory raw materials, glassware, supplies, and waste; report stability results.

Responsibilities:

Position will include as tasks to successfully make hair color laboratory batches, conducting product stability, evaluate color performance, and record and report results. Experience with lab equipment such as batching equipment, pH meters, viscometer, and Microsoft applications, and interaction with raw material suppliers a plus. Ability to lift bulk materials, fill consumer laboratory samples, and prepare hair tresses with application of consumer products and CGMP practices required. Assist in the maintenance of laboratory raw materials, glassware, supplies, and waste. Communicate formulation stability and efficacy results.
