Job summary

Brenntag North America, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Operator to safely handle liquid and dry chemical products. Responsibilities include loading/unloading from trucks, tankers and railcars, operating forklifts, repackaging, labeling and maintaining accurate inventory records.

You will verify documents, sample for quality, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements while working in a fast-paced environment with diverse products and processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or US military experience.
• 2+ years of chemical operations experience if education or service requirements are not fully met.
• Pass forklift certification exam and demonstrate safe forklift operation.
• Ability to read, comprehend and carry out detailed and simple instructions in English and write simple correspondence.
• Ability to use and learn technology-based devices (smart phones, tablets, computers, PLCs, etc.).
• Wear safety equipment as prescribed by company.
• Comply with placarding rules when loading/unloading trucks.
• Meet or exceed production requirements based on information or equipment used.

Responsibilities

• Receive/unload and load liquid and dry chemical products from/to trucks, tankers, and railcars.
• Maneuver and connect/disconnect transfer hoses.
• Inspect tanks, tankers and railcars before/after loading/unloading.
• Verify product against receiving/shipping documents and report discrepancies.
• Sample and QA in coordination with lab personnel.
• Maintain accurate receiving/shipping logs and inventory.
• Record product movements in systems.
• Stage and prepare product per customer orders and instructions.
• Operate forklifts and move materials in warehouse with safety.
