Job summary

Sun Chemical in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Chemical Production Operator to join our production team. You will learn and apply processes for raw material handling, batch formulation, equipment operation, quality checks, and shipments of finished inks and pigments.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, forklift certification, and comfort with temperature variations. This is a hands-on manufacturing position on a 4/4 night shift with training on days.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to comprehend detailed verbal and written instruction.
• Standing and walking for extended periods; ability to climb stairs.
• Routinely carrying up to 25lbs and handling equipment over 50lbs.
• Willing to work in extreme temperatures and dusty/dirty environment.
• Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet trucks, stackers).
• Gather all materials for batch formulations and monitor batch processes (amps, temperature, conductivity).
• Read and follow batch operation sheets issued through scheduling.
• Unload the batch and take material to proper storage areas; perform end-of-day cleanup of department and work areas.
