Job summary

Sun Chemical Corporation is seeking a Chemical Production Operator to join the production team responsible for manufacturing inks and pigment products. You will participate in receiving and processing raw materials, operating equipment, and supporting quality control to ensure product standards.

The role requires the ability to follow batch instructions, operate material handling equipment, and work in a challenging environment with temperature variations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to comprehend detailed verbal and written instructions.
• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs and handle equipment over 50 lbs.
• Willing to work in extreme temperatures and dusty environment.

Responsibilities

• Material handling equipment - forklifts, pallet trucks and stackers.
• Gather all materials for batch formulations.
• Process equipment – monitor amps and temperature, conductivity checks.
• Read and follow batch operational guide sheets issued through scheduling.
• Make sure all materials going in are weighed correctly per the formulation.
• Unload the batch and take material to the proper storage areas.
• Perform end of day cleanup of department and work areas 3 times a week and as directed by supervision.
