Job summary

Sun Chemical is seeking a Chemical Production Operator to join our manufacturing team in Cincinnati, OH. This role supports the production of inks and pigment products by handling raw materials, operating equipment, and helping ensure quality and on-time shipments.

You will read batch guides, weigh materials accurately, monitor process conditions, perform end-of-day cleanup, and maintain a safe, dusty environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to comprehend detailed verbal and written instruction and work with minimal supervision.
• Standing and walking for extended periods as well as the ability to climb stairs.
• Routinely carrying up to 25lbs and frequently handling equipment in excess of 50lbs.
• Willing to work in extreme temperatures and dusty/dirty environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet trucks.
• Gather materials for batch formulations.
• Monitor process equipment: amps, temperature, conductivity.
• Follow batch operation guides and ensure correct weighing per formulation.
• Unload batch and store materials; assist with end-of-day cleanup.
