Job summary

SolvChem, Inc. seeks a hands-on Production Manager to lead daily operations, ensuring safe, efficient, on-time production and adherence to quality standards.

The role coordinates personnel, materials, equipment, and support services to maintain smooth production and improves OEE. The ideal candidate has a chemical engineering background with 2–5 years of supervisory experience, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering; related experience may count.
• 2–5 years in high-volume chemical manufacturing with supervisory or managerial experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Experience with ERP/MES and manufacturing systems is required.
• Experience creating SOPs, work instructions, manufacturing routings, or process documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities to meet schedules safely and efficiently.
• Direct Line Leads and ensure procedures and schedules are followed.
• Own changeovers ensuring readiness of materials and equipment.
• Monitor run rates and adjust to prevent bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Analyze KPIs and OEE to drive improvements.
