Job summary

Evonik in Utah is seeking a chemical operator to support production lines, maintain safety standards, and assist with equipment and process control systems. The role requires following procedures, operating basic process equipment, and coordinating with maintenance and production teams to meet daily goals.

Candidates should have a high-school diploma, 2+ years in manufacturing or chemical plants, and familiarity with PC software.

Qualifications

• High-school education or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience in industrial manufacturing or chemical plant.
• Safety training or emergency response experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a personal computer and related software.
• Strong time-management and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees.

Responsibilities

• Accepts responsibility for personal safety and health; follows procedures for a safe workplace.
• Builds steam, water, nitrogen, and other processing systems to operate equipment.
• Maintains and services building and process equipment as assigned.
• Performs routine equipment inspections and assists maintenance personnel.
• Coordinates waste recovery and disposal activities.
• Documents and reports transactions and inventories.
