Job summary

Evonik Corporation in Kentucky seeks a Chemical Operator to support production on the plant floor, operate processing systems, monitor safety, and follow procedures to protect people and the environment.

You will build and maintain utility systems, assist with equipment maintenance, and ensure timely completion of daily goals while adhering to safety standards; rotating shifts and outdoor exposure are expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in industrial manufacturing or chemical plant environment
• Safety training or emergency response experience preferred
• Ability to operate a PC and related software tools
• Ability to prioritize and meet daily plant requirements

Responsibilities

• Accepts responsibility for personal safety and follows procedures to ensure a safe workplace
• Builds steam, water, nitrogen and other process systems as needed
• Maintains equipment and supports maintenance staff on repairs
• Operates general building equipment and safety systems
• Manages waste and hazardous materials handling per procedures
• Assists with equipment inspections and documentation
• Trains and supports other operators as needed
• Ensures timely completion of production and maintenance tasks
